I have fixed the error where moving between fields was not functioning properly. You might have been thwarted by a woodbot or wildrabbit disguised as a slime.
For crafting, the steps are as follows:
Click on the item you wish to craft.
Click on the tabs at the top of the screen, such as 'making', 'cooking', etc.
Select the materials.
Once all materials are filled in, press the craft button.
I will update the basic in-game guide as soon as possible.

No button for actually crafting anything. And after completing the first quest, slimes are too strong to beat.
